Janet Anderson Janet Anderson, Great Waters Group Chair and Program Chair
Janet has been active with Sierra Club for about nine years.  She has previously been Membership Chair, Secretary, Program Chair, and is now the newly-elected Chair of the GWG.  Janet is a Respiratory Therapist which underlies her interest in clean air issues.  She also volunteers for asthma education in the Milwaukee area.  Janet enjoys hiking, going 'up north,' gardening, and babysitting for her granddaughters.

Heather works as a client services rep in a logistics copany. She has been a life-long outdoors enthusiast and environmentalist. Her goal is to leave the planet in better shape than she found it.

John Bahr John Bahr, Energy and Global Warming Chair
John is retired from a career that includes fourteen years of product and system design work for General Electric and a faculty position at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Later, he formed and managed two companies that designed and marketed healthcare data systems. John's outdoor experience includes wilderness backpacking, canoeing, and bicycling. His Sierra Club work focuses on community education and the formation of study-action groups. He also works with RENEW Wisconsin and the Wauwatosa Energy Committee.

Dianne Dagelen Dianne Dagelen, Conservation Chair
Born in Milwaukee, Dianne has been a member of the Sierra Club since 1988.  As Conservation Chair she represents GWG on the Cleaner Valley Coalition to clean up We Energies' Menomonee Valley coal plant and to work for environmental justice.  She organized public participation to preserve county parkways and the Monarch Trail from Zoo Interchange clear-cutting and retention ponds and ATC transmission towers.  Lake Michigan and mass transit are also her concerns.  The past two years she organized Earth Day celebrations, including a presentation by US Representative Gwen Moore.  A retired clinical social worker and field supervisor, she is also a member of the Wauwatosa Senior Commission, Interfaith Earth Network and St. Therese Green Team. She enjoys cross country skiing, sailing, paddling, cycling and hiking.

Gary Hofmeister Gary Hofmeister, Outings Chair
Gary is an avid outdoorsman, active in canoeing, kayaking, camping, skiing, and cycling. Since joining the GWG in early 2010 he has assumed the role of Outings Chair and is looking forward to an exciting year.

Dale Olen Dale Olen, Newsletter Editor and Communications Coordinator
A retired clinical psychologist, Dale has been active in the GWG for the past seven years. Until recently he was our Water Chair, working on local groundwater, river, sewerage treatment, and Lake Michigan issues, most notably the Great Lakes Compact. Dale has been our Newsletter Editor for six years, and now puts out an E-Letter, as well as administrating our new website.

Susan Sedlachek Susan Sedlachek, Treasurer
A native of Wisconsin, Sue is a retired accountant and has been a life member of the Sierra Club since 2007. She enjoys hiking, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and adventure traveling. She moved back to Wisconsin in 2009 after having lived in Colorado for twenty-plus years.
