Consider Volunteering

Group_HikeWe are always looking for our members to become more active in our Group.   We are working on water issues, especially around Lake Michigan; energy and global warming; the County grounds; rail and transportation issues.  If you are interested in any of those issues or other environmental issues, please give us a call or email us.  See the Contact Individuals page and talk to Dianne Dagelen, Conservation Chair, about where you might plug in.

If you’re interested in Outings—going for a hike, organizing a walk, or leading a garden tour—contact Gary Hofmeister, Outings Chair.  He’d love to hear from you.

Finally, our Volunteer Leadership Committee (VLC) has several open positions right now. But short of volunteering for that, we also need some people to help out for a few hours for helping with tabling at green events, helping out or leading outings, helping us keep up-to-date with conservation issues, helping with our e-letter or newsletter, helping with database entry, or other help you may want to offer. Anyone interested in the Communications aspect of our Group—our Newsletter, E-Letter, and this website—please contact Dale Olen, who is presently doing all three communication forms and  needs help.
